Molly Giesen-Fields doodled her way through four years of high school math, various art classes, grad school lectures, excessively long work meetings, and countless boring afternoons during her life. She started giving away cartoons on post-it notes to cheer up co-workers, making silly sketches of cute little people and scenes from her own life, and giving random cartoons to friends and family just for fun. More and more people starting asking for her to make them customized cartoons and most had the same comment, "you should do this for a living!" And that's pretty much how her personalized cartoon business dream was born.
Molly didn't get an art degree, nor has she ever held a job that required any artistic talent whatsoever. In no way, shape, or form do these cartoons make much of a dent in her monthly bills, unfortunately. She works in the nonprofit sector, lives in the Bay Area with her husband,
monkey preschooler, and dog, and devours novels, scary movies, and guacamole. Her inspirations include Charles Schulz and the Peanuts gang, Ramona Quimby, Your Mom, and Snoop Dogg.
